Add manual valuations

Manual valuations let you provide value history for assets that do not use provider pricing.

What manual valuations are

A manual valuation is a saved value for an asset as of a selected date. Bitease can use it when the asset is tracked manually instead of priced by a market data provider.

When manual valuations are available

Manual valuations are only available for manual assets. Provider-priced assets use provider pricing and do not use manual valuation history.

Add a valuation

  1. Open the asset valuation page and choose Add valuation.
  2. Choose the Valuation mode if it is available: Unit price or Total value.
  3. Enter the Unit price or Total value shown by the selected mode.
  4. Set the As of date and time.
  5. Add an optional Note if useful.
  6. Create the valuation.

Edit or delete a valuation

Use the valuation history to edit or delete saved entries. Changing valuation history can change current and historical portfolio values for that manual asset.

How valuations affect overview values

A current manual valuation can help Bitease include a manual asset in reporting totals. Missing manual valuations can make affected values partial.
